It was 7 in the morning. The rays of the sun have completely vented inside through the window and warmed up the entire room. The white thin curtains were shining under the bright sunlight while being blown a little by the soft and cold breeze. The surrounding of the room was peaceful until the noisy alarm dared to blare out disturbing the quiet slumber of Sanya Oberoi.
"⏰","⏰","⏰".............. .... ....... ............ ....... ... ..............
"Ahhhhhh, this is so much frustrating yrrrr !" Sanya said while rubbing her eyes. She sat down in the bed with an empty look on her face and grabbed that alarm clock from the side table. She looked at the clock with squinted eyes and said, "hey buddy, guess what? "Just like always, you successfully managed to disturb my sleep today as well."
Congrats btw !" With a sarcastic smile, she put back that clock in its place. She got up from her bed and quickly moved to the bathroom after realizing that she was going to be late today ( which she did not want because it was the first day of her new work at a web developer company as a manager ). She ran off to the bathroom and took a quick bath. After that she got dressed up in a formal outfit with an id card in her neck.
She went near the mirror to check herself.
She fixed her hair and sprayed some perfume. She wore a mask so that, not everyone can be able to recognize her. She took her phone and a wallet in her hand while quickly walking out of the bedroom.
She quickly took an apple from the refrigerator and a pair of keys from the drawer. She opened the door of her small house and came outside the house.
"Hmmm, Don't be worried my dear home! I'll be great at work today and I will return in time.
Yeah, yeah, I'll also eat properly after reaching the office. In short, I'll be alright but I'll miss you.
Goodbye, homie !", she said looking at her small house which she had bought a few years ago after leaving her family's house. She took out her scooter and left from there to reach the office.
On the way, she started to think about the past incident due to which she ended up living alone in a house leaving her family behind.

"FLASHBACKS" (6 years ago)
Sanya came home all tired after finishing her day in college. She was about to go upstairs towards her room when suddenly two people pulled her into a hug and wished her happy birthday. Those people were none other than her siblings : Arnav and Shanaya. They hugged each other tightly for some minutes before separating. Sanya became happy after seeing her siblings wishing her because they all were busy since morning.
Yes it was her birthday and the first people who wished her were her own siblings that too this late at evening. First she was happy but later on she became really angry.
"Well, How come you both remembered my not so important birthday huh? That too this early" She said sarcastically with an angry and irritated face to Arnav and Shanaya. They both exchanged a glare with each other and again looked towards Sanya having guilt filled faces.
"Sorry baba, we were really busy this morning because of the event. Now don't make this angry face, we are actually sorry." Shanaya said touching Sanya's cheeks.
Arnav added, "Sanu, look what we have bought for you." Arnav then took out a gift box from the drawer of a cabinet at the hall where they were standing and gave it to Sanya. Sanya took that box and thanked them. She was really not interested in anything that was happening. She took an excuse and went to her room to freshen up.
She opened the door of her room and locked the door from inside. She sat down on the bed and with a not so bothered look she said looking at the ceiling of the room, "Bhagwan ji, abb Mai Kya hi kahu aapse? Aapko toh already sab pata hi hai. Haa, aaj Mera birthday hai, subah se shaam hone ko Aayi hai aur abb jakar mujhe birthday wishes mil Rahe Hain. Wese bhi, Mai kabhi Kisi ke liye itni important to hu nahi aur mujhe iss Baat ka bura bhi nahi lagtaa Lekin fir bhi mujhe samajh nahi aata ki ye log itne busy reh kaise lete Hain?
Mere siblings ne to Chalo late hi Sahi Lekin birthday wish to Kiya, par mere parents? Unko to pata bhi nahi Hoga ki aaj mera birthday Hai."
Translation:
(Lord, what can I even say to you? You already know everything. Yes, today is my birthday. It's almost evening, and only now I'm receiving birthday wishes. Anyway, I know I'm not that important to anyone, and that doesn't even bother me. But still, I can't understand how people manage to stay so busy.
My siblings at least wished me, even if it was late, but my parents? They probably don't even know that today is my birthday.)
Sanya was lost in her thoughts when her phone popped up with a notification. She opened her phone to find out a message from her Best friend - Aadya Malhotra.
The message was something like 💬::
"Hey Sany, I hope you are doing great. I know that you are angry with me because I didn't contact you on your birthday, but I am so sorry, I was a fool to not carry my phone during the trekking camp. I'm here with my family. They all want to wish you too ,
So here I say , happy birthday dear !! Love you a lot !! Many many happy returns of the day !! Enjoy !! I'll see you soon !! 🫶🏻💗 And don't forget to send me your Lovely pics."
Sanya smiled a little after seeing that message from her bff. She replied with a "thank you and a heart emoji 🩷"
She again got a message on her phone, but this was from her sister Shanaya saying, "get ready in a beautiful dress, there's a surprise for you !"
Sanya quickly freshened up and got dressed in a beautiful full sleeved black floral dress with hair tied in a low ponytail.

She immediately went downstairs and saw that there were seven people sitting in the hall that includes - her father, mother, uncle(fufa), aunt(bua), siblings : Arnav and Shanaya and a old aged person who was the tauji (elder uncle) of her father i.e her indirect grandfather. They were all discussing a topic and that topic was "Sanya".
Sanya stopped in the middle of the stairs when she heard that they were talking about her. Although she belonged to Oberoi family, she was new in this house. From the last few years, she was living with her grandmother in another house in Pitampura, Delhi. She came into this house only a few months ago after her Grandmother died due to a heart attack.
She came near to listen ,what they were talking about. She didn't mean to overhear their conversations however, those words were clear to her ear.
"I don't think that they are talking about me. Maybe I shouldn't overhear their conversations and even if they are talking about me, I just don't care ! Whatever they think, let them , cause I ain't gonna waste my energy arguing." She said to herself with a non-affected look on her face.
But soon, she heard her mom (Vidya Oberoi) saying,"Do you even know, how she is going to react after hearing the truth? She is already so stubborn and rude. In the first place, We shouldn't have allowed her to take psychology (arts) instead of Commerce/Science.
It's our fault that we let her have more freedom to do anything she wants. I know, Sanya will be angry after hearing about it. We will not be able to handle her anger and rudeness."
Again, her father (Aditya raj) said to her mother,"Don't say this, Vidya ! I know she becomes a little arrogant and stubborn sometimes but that doesn't mean, she will be mad at us about it. Don't worry, we will tell her slowly and she has to accept it. Be patient !"
"But dad, mom, why did you both hide this truth from us 3 ? It may sound alright to you however it's gonna disturb her a lot. She is already suffering much after Grandma's death and now this ? ....",
Arnav said to their parents.
Shanaya said,"you could've at least told us dad. How come you guys kept it hidden from all of us for these years? I'm freaked out myself."
Aditya raj said, "Enough !!! There's no need to make a big deal out of it. When the right time comes, I'll tell this to Sanya myself. End of discussion Now!"
Vidya said, " well, it's not as easy as you think Aditya ji.
She will create a big mess after hearing the truth. I don't think we should hide this anymore from her.
We should inform her about the truth ."
"Shut up, Vidya !!. It's best if she finds this out late.", Aditya raj said.
"Don't fool yourself, Aditya ji,. We both know that, she is not going to accept the fact after knowing the truth. She never liked me, and she never will.
The truth is not hidden that I am not her real mother and she is not my real daughter".
After hearing those words from her so - called mother's mouth, Sanya became speechless and heartbroken. She became numb and her senses stopped working for some seconds. Due to her semi-consciousness, she mistakenly pushed the flower base kept on the table which was a bit far from them. The vase dropped on the floor and made a large sound.
All of them looked towards the source of sound. They noticed that Sanya was standing there with an emotionless face that Indicates her broken heart.
Everyone reached near her to see if something was troubling her.
"Are you okay, Sanya?" Vidya asked touching her cheeks.
"You don't have to fake care about me", Sanya said with a straight face after removing her hand from her face.
"What happened? Beta, (daughter), why are you saying that to your mother?",Aditya raj said with concern.
"Wrong dad !! She is not my mom.", Sanya said.
(Everyone became speechless)
"I always knew that she never loved me. But I thought, it was because I never really lived with her and understood her. Now I know why I was always treated as an option."
"Listen, Sanya ", Vidya was about to say something else too while she interrupted her.
"Don't worry ! I'm not questioning why you never loved me. I'm actually questioning both of you, why did you keep this thing hidden from me for all these years? What crime did I commit? Why do you guys keep forbading me for everything? Am I a trouble to you all? If so, tell me everything.", Sanya said with an emotional yet aggressive tone.
Aditya raj said, "listen, there's no need to overreact. We were about to tell you everything but then...."
Sanya said, "but then .... , what dad ? What? Do you have any answers?"
She again made everyone speechless.
Sanya said, "I got my answer. I don't belong here anymore. I am not going to trouble you guys with anything."
The old aged man who looked like a royal person ( Aditya Raj's uncle ) came in front and said, " Sanya beta, don't be angry. They are your parents and they always think about your well-being. No matter how much you get aggressive but it's not going to change the fact that it's your family after all."
Sanya said with a sarcastic yet emotional face, "oh really? Are they my family? Cause I don't think so, bade tauji (Uncle). They can never think of my wellbeing, after all I'm not their child."
Aditya raj said with anger and aggression, "Sanya, watch your tongue !! Do you even know what you are saying? You are totally out of your mind. You are my daughter, you are my blood."
"aur maa ??" (And mom ?), Sanya asked being emotional as her heart shattered into a thousand pieces.
Vidya moved her head towards the opposite direction and walked away out of there being emotional after hearing the words from Sanya's mouth. Vidya remembered about that incident that happened after her marriage. Vidya remembered how her husband (Aditya raj) cheated with her and Sanya's mother ( destroying 3 women's life that day).
Both Arnav and Shanaya were told to leave from there as some business partners arrived for a meeting.
Aditya raj took the hand of Sanya and said emotionally, "Aaradhana Kashyap".
Sanya asked while gasping,"is she my,.. my mother?"
Aditya nodded his head and said, "yes sweetie, she is your mother and I'm sorry to say that she is not here with us anymore. She left you with me to take care of you.
"So, you cheated with Vidya Oberoi for my mom?",
Sanya asked without any second thought, although she didn't like Vidya ji , but she never supported anyone who's wrong or doing anything wrong, even if it's her own dad.
Her father didn't answer her this time.
"I guess, I got my answer. And I'm sorry if this hurts you but I don't want to live in this house with you all anymore. I will live on my own and you don't have to care about me." Sanya said.
"And yes a request, please don't force me to live here. I'll come here often but I cannot make it my permanent place because it's so hard to live here and share my pain with anybody. So, pls dad, pls let me live alone and don't stop me if you want my happiness"., Sanya said with a pleading voice.
Aditya agreed with her and said, "I'll agree with you but in one condition that is , you can't hate anyone in this family either if it's me, Vidya, or any relatives."
Sanya said, "I accept your condition. I won't hate anyone but trust me, I won't even love anyone."
She left after saying that.
And yes after that she started living on her own. She was kept under observance until she reached 20 yrs old.
After then, she is living her life full of enjoyment and peace alone far from her family.
